What is I-CAR?

I-CAR stands for the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair. It is a not-for-profit organization founded to provide the knowledge, information, and skills required to perform complete, safe, and quality repairs. This training means that our clients at Bob Moore Collision Center are committed to bringing you the best autobody care, so you can feel confident when getting back on the road after an accident.

The I-CAR vision is that everyone in the collision repair industry should have the skills, knowledge, and information needed to be able to effectively, safely, and accurately repair collision damage on vehicles for the benefit of the client.

I-CAR's mission is to provide relevant education, services, knowledge, and solutions for collision repair across the industry.

IACET Accreditation

IACET is the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), the first such organization within the collision repair industry. Accreditation shows commitment to quality repairs through continuous improvement and training on the latest tools and techniques used to provide the highest quality of repairs, excellence, and transparency in the collision repair industry.  

I-CAR Training

I-CAR's training offers insurance companies and collision repair companies with a solid framework for improving requisite knowledge and acquiring Gold Class. The Professional Development Program (PDP) additionally gives a framework that evaluates the most recent skills and knowledge that produce appropriate repairs, quality business practices and performance with risk reduction.  Separate paths for training are supplied for insurance professionals and autobody and auto service professionals. I-CAR training:

  • Provides collision repair training to over 14,000 businesses, and over 91,000 students each year.
  • Provides the industry with growth.
  • Offers over 275 courses via virtual, live, online, and in-shop hands on formats.
  • Serves the industry with over 2,200 instructors, staff, and volunteers and over 200 local committees.
  • Delivers technical resources though the technical support portal.

I-CAR has developed rigorous, effective, and role-specific training that includes the I-CAR PDP program with Career and Technical School Programs, Welding Training and Certification, Gold, and Platinum recognition.
